With more than 3 million cases every year¹, atopic aermatitis is a red, itchy, flaky patch of skin that usually develops in childhood but can affect people of any age.

Scratching leads to further redness, swelling, cracking, “weeping” clear fluid, crusting, and scaling. In most cases, flares are followed by periods of remission where the skin clears up entirely but not without medical intervention.
